A center for disabled children and for new activities in an already tight location. How can unobtrusive, bright and purposeful spaces add to the daily experience and betterment of these children and their dedicated helpers? A special energy emerges from a place where everything is difficult, every motion a challenge, and every accomplishment its own reward.

Our proposal takes its cues from the changing light and atmosphere of the day.  Two small pavilions, each located at the ends of the extant building, accomodate to one side classrooms with a view toward the landscape, and the pastry kitchen to the other side. They are connected by a swerving pathway whose colors and scents anticipate the enjoyment of the cookies that will be produced there. This passage offers varying vistas and invites everyone to follow their fancy.
