HOUSE OF LEAVES
Albanian National Museum of Secret Surveillance
Gardens, Pre-Radars and anamorphic benches

WHAT THE CITY TELLS THE LISTENERS:

Two types of permanent installations are part of a process of design/fabrication and implementation on site. We developed all the construction details working with local engineers builders and fabricators.
At the entrance of the museum a garden covered in convallaria japonica invites people to explore the sound of the city by handling these pre-war devices themselves.
At the exit of the Museum, after an immersive and emotional experience you can gather your thoughts in the backyard sitting on two 50 feet long benches. These object are the result of an ongoing research on 3D processes of anamorphic distortion.
Shaped in accord with human vision, the benches are a colorful and pleasant distraction in space. Walking around you will soon discover that only from one point of view, clearly marked by a read seat, the figures of the two objects collapse in one single image of a head set, the ultimate iconic symbol of surveillance.
