As part of the larger ongoing project to transform the 2009 temporary installations into a permanent museum at Le Gallerie di Trento, some objects are starting to populate the scene.
An infopoint at the entrance to the Black Tunnel mediates between the intense light of the outside and the darkness of the deep, black tunnel. The round is a tiny object that defeats the geometry of the vaulted space and illuminates it like a paper lantern.
Constructed of polycarbonate with a lightweight metal frame, it is neither outside nor inside, but simply in between, welcoming visitors as they adjust their gaze to the twilight light.
Three people work there, who control access and exit, introduce visitors to the exhibition program or simply listen to their impressions and comments as they leave.
